wow, the parts work has really opened my eyes. Not only has it opened my eyes but I find myself using my vision counsel everyday. Not to get to personal but I was just about to give up pack my things up and move to TN. and stay with my mom for a few months. I stopped and pulled my vision counsel in and they made me remember all the hard work I’ve done to get this far. They are right, my vision is still flowing.

15 Years ago my vision was to be in the technology world, I did not care what line of field, repairing computers, networking, running my own computer business “Ultimate Nerdz”
When I was introduced to nature I knew with my heart and Soul that that’s where I was supposed to be. I went on a wilderness retreat 3 years ago to do some work on myself and some of the clients there thought I was the therapist. lol So when I got laid off my IT job back in Feb. I thought to myself, this is a blessing, I took all I had heart soul and mind and here I am, Nature and helping people.

Hi Everyone I’m Jackie and I am from Fort worth Texas. I Was first introduced to nature when I was having to grieve over a loss of a loved one 2 years ago, since then I’ve been hooked on how much power nature has over one’s mind body and soul.
I’m really excited to get to work with each and every one of you.

Wow I can not believe how my life has turned. I have always worked in the technology industry, I don’t know if ya’ll know who the Geek Squad is but I worked for them for many years. Once I had my first camping trip that was all it took, technology was behind me. I love nature, I talk about it, read about it, take my nephew out on hikes every chance I can. Anytime someone asks me to work on the computer, or fix their phone I get angry lol. That’s how I know nature is where I belong.

I have a question for others, when you follow your clients do you stand behind them or next to them?

I am really excited to try the challenge Michel gave us. Blind fold and try and make it back to my original spot. Learning to trust myself is key before I can help other help themselves and I think this is a great practice.
I just moved to a new location so having to find a new sit spot has been kinda hard. But my wide angle vision has been in tune thats for sure.

The more we are digging deeper into nature and practicing different techniques like the 7 stairs, I am worried that I am going to forget something. Is there a script for the 7 stairs? I really want to use that and practice that on myself over and over before practicing it on anyone. Daniel thank you for clarifying that question for me via email.
I loved the part when you stated “once you get up, trust yourself” and just wander.
I personally argued with in myself, when I did a retreat and my coach sent us out, I didn’t know which way to go.
To my fellow classmates, how are you practicing and remembering this stuff? Any ideas would help.
    Thank you

The only way I can tell you what Nature-Connection is to me is by my personal experience. So here is a short story about my first solo guided by my wilderness Therapist.
    My experience: 2018
My sister passed in 2017- my first camping solo 2018
The day I pulled up to the camping spot and hiked what seemed like 10 miles but really it was only about 3, the weather was perfect. I laid out my sleeping bag, and laid back and just started asking questions, normally I would of put all of this in a journal but being in nature all alone I felt more at peace just talking out loud. The stars were amazing, I could of ask them anything, the breeze had me sleeping like a baby, the smell of fresh air was so refreshing.
The next day, I woke up to a beautiful sunrise, did some meditation and roamed around for hours, enjoying the view.
My sister loved butterflies as there was this one butterfly that followed me all day, I believed it was a sign that nature was giving me, at that point I felt at peace with her passing. It was her way of saying “little sister I’m ok”.
At one point it started to rain a light rain for about 5 min. I took that as a sign that I was being cleansed from all the anger and changed into a “Different” person.
At the end of the day, I was no longer angry, the trees, the ground beneath my feet, nothing around me but wilderness calmed me.
This is what I believe what Nature-Connection is and that is why it is important for everyone to get in touch with nature, sit by a tree, go for a walk, smell the air, trust me it can and will change your way of thinking and how you feel.
Maintaining the connection with nature can be a little difficult, if you work long hours like I did. I worked 10 hours shifts with no lunch in a small cubical. Never getting up and walking outside. That is when I got myself the Fitbit, and watched how many steps I got each day, set a goal and walked around the building until I reached my goal.

    Kelly,
I can not agree with you more. Soul, is totally thinking with your heart and not your head. Your heart knows you the best.
For me, When I was laid off 6 months ago from a IT job spending 15 hours behind a cubical. There were only so many ways you can decorate and redecorate your desk. I would get up from my desk in the heat, cold, rain and walk just to get some sense of nature.
After I went through the nature connected class, I my soul told me “this is it” “you are were you are supposed to be”
I drew out all my savings, took a part time job (I just landed today) borrowed money, and I’M all in. I am so excited for this great opportunity!
