    Initial Post-Foundation 1

For me Nature Connected means a variety of different things and I feel they all play an instrumental part in how I coach. My definition of nature includes myself, my client and my surroundings no matter where I am. I feel that nature is everywhere and can be seen everywhere. My relationship to nature is important because I need to be aware of my surroundings to give a safe and connected experience.

I feel that I am nature in the same ways that birds, coyotes and animals alike are part of nature. We all play our part and add a unique baseline to our environment. My baseline can have a direct result to how my surroundings play a part in what is going on at any given moment. For example, if I am aggravated at traffic or someone cut me off and I am reacting it can have a ripple affect on those drivers around me cause my emotion to start to mirror around me. The same can happen when I am with a client. If I bring my emotional baggage into a session, the client will be able to consciously or unconsciously sense my baseline and the session can become more about me and my direction and motives rather than being client lead and client focused.

It is important for me to be connected to my environment and aware of my surroundings. This is not only true for “nature” but my client as well. Both baselines have their own special meaning and place. My nature may be in a gym setting, so it will be important for me to know what the client may need as far as a specific exercise for a specific feeling or action. It will also be important for me to know the risks that may be involved in this setting. Baseline line in this setting will be much like to outdoors in that I will be able to tell what the mood or feel is like at any given time. It will be important for me to have a read on this baseline because it may not match the clients or vis versa.

Nature really is everywhere and can be utilized anywhere. Simply the one on one client coach experience can be deemed as nature and lessons can be taught and utilized weather a hands-on experience happens or not. I think it is important to realize this because a threshold experience may not be able to happen given certain circumstances and may not be necessary even if available.

The parts work is helping me to see where certain questions and emotions are coming from. For example if I am in fear of a certain aspect of my coaching or how to handle a certain situation while coaching I can dive in and see what part is feeling that way and dissect if it is a true soul directed feeling or not. I have to be careful because many of my parts want me to believe they know whats best for the soul and sometime disguise themselves as the soul.

Parts work also shows me what parts may be or can be of use in certain situations during sessions. A client may need a certain part of me to come out to help or reflect back. So in that sense knowing or being in tine with my parts can be very beneficial.

I feel as though I am living in alignment with my vision because I am finally doing what feels right in my life. I am heading down a path that I believe I am finally ready for and has been calling me for a long while. Since making the leap of faith and signing up for the NCC program it feels as through things have just been falling into place and it has been an extremely fun process to watch and ultimately be apart of. I have longed for something in my life to call mine and not follow in the shadows of anyone and I feel that I am on that path now. Excited to continue on this process.

For me to be soul directed I have to understand all of my other parts and know which is which. This can be very difficult without outside perspective and direction. I do believe the skill can be honed, however it takes lots of practice. At time my other parts can make me believe they are the soul or know what the soul needs or wants. I have to be in a very clear mind state to be able to separate all the parts give them their appropriate names and dig deep for the soul.

    Hey all!

It was nice to meet everyone and I am excited about this experience.

To start the topic off I wanted to ask how you think your clients will benefit from the 8 indicators exercise?

I feel like it will be a great way for clients in my practice to be able to come back to and realize that they may need to put more effort in, in some areas. I also feel like it is a time that they can give themselves credit for making noticeably progress.
